Business opportunities in vegetables for FPOs.

A three-day Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) with the theme ‘Business Prospects in Horticulture’ in collaboration and with the support from Department of Horticulture, Government of Karnataka (PPP-IHD & FPO) was organized. The objective of the program to encourage to take up entrepreneurial activity in three core areas:

• Vegetable Seed Production of IIHR varieties & formation of seed village.
• Nursery development using the improved varieties of IIHR and technologies such as Arka fermented cocopeat.
• Vegetable pre-processing and preparation of processed foods.
